The subject matter for this painting was a reservation mustang that was used as a Mexican rodeo tripping horse, which is extremely cruel, then he was thrown away, when no longer useful, and put into the slaughter pipeline and sadly shipped to slaughter. I wanted to honor this horse, and so many others that fall victim to heartless people and end up in the slaughterhouses of Canada and Mexico.
